Pollution Incident - Summerleaze Beach Bude 07/05/2008 As a result of dredging work in the canal a large amount of silty material has been washed down and is affecting the water quality on Summerleaze Beach. The water has been tested and whilst we are awaiting the results, we are advising people that there could be a health risk from this bathing water. Signs have been put up in the affected areas. Dredging work has been stopped until the test results are known and measures are in place to stop the water reaching the beach. Contacting Customer Services by telephone At present there is a very high demand for our housing benefit, council tax benefit and council tax departments and we know that customers are having difficulty getting through to us on the phone. Our busiest day is Monday and our busiest time daily is 12 pm to 1 pm. Our quieter times are in the afternoons mid-week. So, if you are able, please ring in our quieter times to save having to hang on and be charged for a longer call. National debate for a British statement of values On 3 July 2007 the Prime Minister launched a green paper, The Governance of Britain, which outlined the Government's plans for the renewal of our constitution. The Validation of Planning Applications in North Cornwall
As part of the drive to provide a quicker, more predictable and efficient planning service, the Government has introduced a new mandatory standard electronic application form for applications for planning permission made under the Town and Country Planning system and Listed Building and Conservation Area consent regime.
Property Name and Address Changes
With this system you only have to notify the council once if you have moved home or wish to change the name of your property.
